BIOGRAPHY
Soprano Diana Skavronskaya is known for her expressive singing and sincere stage presence.
This season, Diana performed three “Maria’s Voice” recitals with the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva under the direction of Maestro Constantine Orbelian, General Director and Principal Conductor of the New York City Opera. The program, dedicated to the legendary soprano Maria Callas, featured beloved arias by Puccini, Verdi, Donizetti, and Bizet. Diana has appeared twice at New York City’s Carnegie Hall – at Weill Recital Hall and at Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage – two of the most renowned stages in the US.
In 2024, she returned to the role of Mimì in La Bohème with Pocket Opera & Cinnabar Theater in California, and with Opera San José for a semi-staged performance. Throughout her career, Diana has performed a wide range of roles. She made her debut as Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro at The Great Hall of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Russia. She starred as Mimì in La Bohème with Batumi State Musical Center, Georgia, and appeared as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro at Complesso Monumentale San Pietro di Marsala, Italy. It was also her return to the roles of Mimì in La Bohème and Tatyana in Eugene Onegin at The Great Hall of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Russia.
Diana is a laureate of several international competitions, including first prize at the Boris Tchaikovsky International Competition (2018), third prize at the Romansiada International Vocal Competition (2018), and first prize at the Ippolitov-Ivanov International Competition (2014). She graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and continued her training at the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Center, where she further developed her operatic technique. Diana’s career has been covered by a number of international and Russian publications, including OperaWire, Opera Charm, Venü Magazine, Forbes Life, Classical Music News, Belcanto, and others. She continues to expand her repertoire and collaborate with new companies in the United States and abroad.
In 2026 Shkolnikova Academy will include vocal classes led by soprano Diana Skavronskaya. During the Academy, students will receive five individual lessons, participate in rehearsals with an accompanying pianist, and have the opportunity to perform at the final concert, gaining focused technical coaching, collaborative accompaniment experience, and stage presentation practice under professional guidance and personalized artistic mentorship.
The Academy takes place at the beautiful Château de la Flocellière, August 3–13, 2026. Students aged 14 and up may opt to stay in the on-site dormitory; younger students may be admitted but must remain with their parents in private accommodations. Additionally, participants will benefit from masterclasses, informal coaching sessions, and networking opportunities with visiting artists, ensuring a well-rounded and supportive artistic environment for developing singers.
Tuition fee for singers for the 2026 academy is 1000 euros
Includes individual 5 vocal lessons, performance opportunities and recordings with a professional pianist, invitations to guest masterclasses, workshops, concerts and access to the amenities of the Chateau (swimming pool, games, etc.)
Shared room and full board is 850 euros
Students will be provided room and board on the grounds of the magnificent Chateau de la Flocellière in the Vendée region of France
