Students at the Shkolnikova Academy are granted daily private lessons on their instrument, daily chamber music coachings, and performance opportunities in a convivial and nurturing atmosphere.
Unique to this Academy is the possibility for students to take lessons from all faculty members. Students may choose to focus on in-depth exploration of right and left hand technique, orchestral excerpts, or intensive work on repertoire. |

The academy is geared towards students aged 14 through 25, although younger students may be accepted upon individual consideration. Applications are open to violin, viola, and cello students and a limited number of advanced collaborative piano students.
Students will reside on the grounds of the historical Chateau de la Flocellière in shared accommodation (single accommodation may be available upon request). The Chateau is located in the historic village of Flocelliere in the Vendée region of the Loire Valley in France.

Space at the Academy is limited and all interested students are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Applications are open from December 15th 2019 - March 15th 2020.
Tuition is 700 euros for the week, which includes daily private instrumental lessons, chamber music coachings, and performance opportunities with accompanist. Lodging at the chateau with access to all facilities and full board of three meals a day is 650 euros for the week. Limited financial aid is available in exceptional circumstances. |
