We are excited to announce the dates August 8 - 16 for the 2021 Academy at the Chateau de Chalivoy-la-Noix in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. Because of the uncertainties caused by COVID, we will offer a full refund of the application and tuition fees for any cancellations related to the pandemic. We will also adhere to the strict sanitary protocol required to ensure the health and safety of students and faculty.
Students at the Shkolnikova Academy are granted daily private lessons on their instrument, daily chamber music coachings, and performance opportunities in a convivial and nurturing atmosphere.
Unique to this Academy is the possibility for students to take lessons from all faculty members. Students may choose to focus on in-depth exploration of right and left hand technique, orchestral excerpts, or intensive work on repertoire. |
The academy is geared towards students aged 14 through 25, although younger students may be accepted upon individual consideration. Applications are open to violin, viola, and cello students and a limited number of advanced collaborative piano students.
Tuition, which includes one private 60 minute lesson each day, chamber music coaching and performance opportunities with piano, is 500 euros for the week. Shared room and board is 450 euros for the week. Very limited financial assistance is available based on need.
